(Edited to include lyrics…because they’re so good.)
My sister in law Kayt’s brand new daughter Riley is 6 days old. My little sister Julia is due to have her first in July. All of these brand new babies made me think of my own experience with new motherhood. There’s one memory that I can recall quite vividly. When I held Indy for the first time, which wasn’t until 3 days after he was born, this was the song that immediately came to mind. ”So this is love.” I include it in the rotation of lullabies I use to help with the wind-down process. I still can’t believe he was created out of love, by love and in him I find the truest and purest form of love that I cannot feel for anyone else.
Mushy gushy! I wish the music in Disney movies was still this good!
So this is love, so this is love.
So this is what makes life divine
I’m all aglow, and now I know
the key to all heaven is mine.My heart has wings and I can fly.
I’ll touch every star in the sky.
So this is the miracle that I’ve been dreaming of.
So this is love.
This is so sweet, I’m kind of choked up.
